The blue AirHed Pro Ball Head from 3 Legged Thing is an Arca-type ball head boasting a 88.0 lb load capacity and the ability to be attached to tripods or other support systems with a 3/8"-16 mount. The included QR-OCTA Quick Release Plate is compatible with 1/4"-20 mounts, and is secured onto the integrated clamp on the top of the head's ball-and-socket joint via a knurled, locking knob. Dual retaining screws are present on the underside of the plate to ensure accidental slipping when the clamp is opened. This quick release plate offers a rubberized, non-slip platform and a built-in bubble level along the edge of the opposite side of the clamp's locking knob for landscape orientation.

By loosening the primary locking knob, the ball-and-socket joint can swivel, angle, fully tilt, or return to upright. Underneath, a secondary locking knob allows for 360°
